Door of Welcome by Esther.

The door in the artwork represents Esther, and the eye is a person who is trapped in their own world. Esther sees this person as facing a lot of challenges in their life, and having feelings of being trapped. As a door, Esther wants to welcome them into her life and culture. She said, “By opening that door of mine– which is my heart– that’s how I welcome someone into my life. To welcome someone into my culture means I’m considering that person now a part of my culture, a part of me, and a part of my family who can share our things.”
